Head Coach: Andre Rison


Andre Rison is a 5 Time Pro Bowl Receiver and 2 Time World Champion. He finished

his NFL career with 84 touch downs and more than 10,000 receiving yards. Rison

played 13 seasons in the NFL and is the most notablfootball player to win a World

Championship in the NFL and in the CFL. No wide out in NFL history caught as

many passes as Rison in the first 5 years of his NFL career. Rison was a first round

draft pick out of
Michigan State University
where he was an integral part of his team

winning the most recent Spartan Rose Bowl Championship. At MSU, Rison was all-

time leading receiver and set single-season records for the Spartans.  Rison also lettered

on the MSU basketball team and was All Big Ten in track. Before attending Michigan


State
University, Rison attended Flint Northwestern High School in Flint MI where he

played an amazing eight different positions on the football squad. Rison was an All-State

punter and All- State prep point guard. Rison was also a High School All American

Punter and Corner.  Rison lead his high school basketball team to a 55-1 record. This

1984-85 Flint Northwestern Basketball Team Dynasty was announced as a 2009

selection for the Greater Flint Sports Hall Of Fame.


Rison began his High School coaching career in 2006 as an Assistant Coach at Beacher

High School in Flint MI. 
In 2007 -2009 Rison continued coaching youth and high school

football through  Football University (FBU) where he developed the wide receiver

curriculum and coached over 2000 elite youth and high school receivers

across the country.  During this time Coach Rison coached in several Elite National

Combines and National Youth and High School All Star Games.
 

 

In 2009 Rison began coaching for the Andre Rison Football Academy (ARFA).  The

ARFA allowed Rison to
fulfill his passion of not only coaching but mentoring student

athletes.  As a Coach for the ARFA, Rison has coached numerous High School All

Americans and has helped hundreds of athletes obtain scholarships to  obtain further

education.  More importantly, Rison has made an extraordinary impact on the youth and

has positively influenced thousands of youth athletes across the nation.  Rison’s passion

for football and helping the youth is astonishing.  The ARFA has grown tremendously

since beginning in 2009 and Rison’s influence continues to flourish.       

 

In 2010 Rison accepted his first Head Coaching position with his Alma Mater the Flint

Northwestern Wildcats.  This position again allowed Rison to follow his heart, back

home to Flint MI.
